Consultation.
Have an idea, or want to start one?
This affordable and exclusive, by-appointment consultation launches your full landscape design journey. Many clients choose this session as the first step toward transforming their property and often progress to a comprehensive design.
Over a focused hour, Tim conducts an on-site walkthrough to assess the space and collaborate with you on creative options. He evaluates planting choices against practical factors—mature size, sun exposure, seasonal color, form, and ecological impact—while brainstorming layout and material possibilities tailored to your goals.
Clients are encouraged to participate actively, take notes, and ask questions as Tim provides clear recommendations, design strategies, and horticultural guidance to help you make informed decisions. Typical projects range from foundation plantings to complete property remodels, with recommendations scaled to suit any scope or budget.
Unsure if you need a consultation? Ask yourself the following questions below. If you answer “yes” to any of the following, then a consultation would be best suited for your inquiry.
*Do you need guidance on new plantings, layout changes, or improving/refreshing existing beds—whether they’re sparse, overgrown, outdated, or missing entirely? We’ll help you identify how to best use each area and recommend practical improvements.
*Do you want a smaller DIY project but need professional input for a basic layout and plant selections without a full-scale design? We’ll provide clear, actionable ideas you can implement yourself.
*Do you need a full-scale design for specific areas but want collaborative advice before committing to a full installation? We’ll work with you to develop a thoughtful, tailored plan that meets your goals.
Design.
This is where all collaborative thoughts are put to paper. Referred to as a base map, for the first time, you’ll begin to see the layout of the bird’s eye view blueprint to scale for any areas of interest. This can be very small scale, or on a much larger scale. Designs can be tailored to be in simple black and white, or colorized if you want more in depth visualization. Colorizing designs help with the visualization and determining the overall flow of plantings and spaces. Ultimately, clients will either receive a printed base map, or an electronic file that can be printed based upon whether a follow up visit is required to review the design. Though all projects do not require a design for professional installation, you may choose to commission a design for your own DIY purposes. However, a design may be required for larger or more complex projects. It is a very simple, and worthwhile process.
Installation.
We’ve arrived at the final step. This is where the excitement begins as the last stage of the process becomes a reality. “Out with the old and in with the new” as they say. This is where the brainstorming and ideas come to fruition. Through thoughtful planning, you’ll begin to see the construction process take shape and come to finish. Once completed, you’ll be amazed at the difference your landscaping project has made. Perhaps for the first time in a long time, you’ll be super proud of the difference in the looks of your home, and the value that your planning has added. As the seasons progress into the near future, you be even more satisfied as your plantings evolve to maturity. Ultimately, this is what you’ve been waiting for.
